About Us

Kevin Day started Day and Son's Inc. in March of 2004, originating in Millersville, Maryland. Day and Son's Inc. first two projects were in Baltimore Maryland for cable constructors. The worksite projects included trenching, rock boring and trenching in iron ore rock .Other projects we have completed include 16'' Bore, 12'' Bore, various rock bores using mud motors and other rock tooling. We have constructed over 2,000 miles of Cable, Concrete Duct Bank work, Directional Drilling, and Trenching for State of Maryland and Virginia since we been in business. We have drilled and trenched in many different soil conditions and have maintained a 100% successful project completion rate. We pride ourselves on being safe. We, at Day and Sons Inc., are paving the way to excellence in the industry.

Today, Day & Sons employs over 40 professionals in the underground utility industry. Owners Kevin and Lawrence have 60 years of combined experience. Steve McLaughlin, Regional Manager, has 36 years of experience in the underground uitility construction and ITS. Project Managers Mike Splitter and Kevin Henson, have combined experience of 40 years. Jason Jarvis, BGE Field Supervisor, has 14 years experience in cable replacement and directional drilling. All of our equipment and trucks are well maintained and up to date. 100% Safety has always been our number one goal and is always placed before production. Our staff is well trained to OSHA safety standards. We are able to complete any project, regardless of method of placement, trench, plow, or Directional Bore. In 2004 Day And Sons Inc became a certified contractor for the State of Maryland Department of Transportation and the Virginia Department of Transportation.
